The rear under braces were severely rusted. When
I took them off, and attempted to clean the rust off they almost fell
apart. I
could bend them by hand! Suffice it to say, I don't think they
were offering much toward chassis stiffness! I found some steel
pipe at the local hardware store (Lowes) and using a hammer and a vice,
was able to get the pipe into the shape of the original stock braces.
Pipe:
The pipe was cut, hammered into shape, and holes drilled
in the ends. By repeatedly fitting them, and re-hammering, new
