These are books that I've read that I think are excellent reading for anyone interested in turbochargers, superchargers, and maximizing performance of your car.
By far the best book I've read is: Forced Induction Performance Tuning by A. Graham Bell. It's not expensive and well worth the money. He discusses all facets of turbochargers, selection, how they work, inter-cooling, and even water injection! The next book is by Corky Bell called Maximum Boost. This is a very fun read, and has some useful information in it as well. Some of the information is dated, but it is still worth it in my opinion. Another good read is by Hugh MacInnes simply called Turbochargers. He goes into some more math about turbochargers and also talks about interesting subjects such as Tractor Pulls. This book has more dated material in it but most still applies today. My last recommended book is 4 Stroke Performance again by A. Graham Bell. This book is not about turbos or forced induction, but is more about engine build up. A. Graham Bell is an excellent author.
